Potere Search was founded in 2018 by Nick Morrison. He had just completed six years of work at three firms, learning what worked and what didn’t in terms of helping clients hire great employees. With a desire to help people, grow businesses, and make an impact, he was determined to create a firm that would focus on more than simply funneling resumes to clients who were looking to fill positions, typically in key management roles or in an integral job that would have lasting impact on the overall growth and success of the business.
But that was only half of the focus of Potere Search. The company also has a significant responsibility to the candidates they are placing. The commitment of the staff at Potere Search is to deliver more than just a job. They are providing these great candidates with a career opportunity that will provide fulfillment, financial stability, purpose, and pose a challenge to allow them to continue to grow both personally and professionally. The client base that Nick selected as his target demographic was those seeking to scale to $500 M and beyond. And while this lofty goal did present challenges, the rewards were quite worth the hard work and dedication needed to make Potere Search what it is today.
Were The Early Days Of Potere Search Charmed?
According to Nick, in the beginning, the road to success was not smooth. He had a clear vision, but the road was not fully paved before him. He understood what needed to be fixed within the recruiting industry to achieve the greatest success, but he did not yet have a playbook to bring about the changes he knew he must implement. But after five years of hard work and refusing to give up, he created a way to sell his “New Era Recruiting”.
In that time, he wore every hat in the business and sometimes multiple hats to educate clients, build trust, and achieve success. And all of this was accomplished while he was also focusing on full participation in his family and his faith. But pressure and adversity forced him to be resourceful and resilient. To this day, he is thankful for that opportunity and the lessons it taught him. They are the cornerstones of his business: quality, integrity, service, and results.

The research and vetting are very much in-depth, and each client would typically be the one best selection offered by other recruiters in a best-case comparison. The goal is to give the client five choices, with none of them being wrong. They can meet and evaluate the best of the best to know they are getting a great new hire who will make a significant positive impact on the business and its future growth. While there are no guarantees in life, Potere Search likes to make the client’s selection process as foolproof as possible.

Instead, it is defined much later by the level of success of the new hire, their job satisfaction, and their contribution to the growth of the company.
